This Privacy Policy explains how GlobeSign Manager ("GlobeSign Manager", "GlobeSign", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects information when you use our website-care platform and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
GlobeSign Manager provides an all-in-one platform that helps agencies and site owners monitor, protect, back up, maintain and grow the websites they manage. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@globesign.ca.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you or your organization create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, and login credentials (stored in hashed form).
Website & monitoring data
To provide the Service, we collect technical information about the websites you connect, such as uptime and response times, software versions, security findings, backup metadata, content inventories, and SEO and performance metrics.
Information you provide
If you contact us or submit a form, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address and message.
Usage & device information
We collect standard log information (such as IP address, browser type and pages accessed) and use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely.
3. Google user data (Analytics & Search Console)
If you choose to connect a website to Google, GlobeSign uses Google OAuth to request read-only access to the Google account data you authorize. Specifically, we may access:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — traffic and engagement metrics such as users, sessions, page views, traffic sources, devices, countries, events and conversions, for the properties you select.
- Google Search Console — search-performance metrics such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, and the queries, pages, devices and countries associated with them, for the properties you select.
How we use it. This data is used solely to display analytics and search-performance information inside your GlobeSign dashboard and in the monthly reports you generate for the connected website. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How we store it. We store the aggregated metrics needed to show your dashboards and reports. Your Google authorization (refresh token) is encrypted at rest and is used only to refresh the read-only data for the properties you connected.
Your control. You can disconnect a website's Google account at any time from within the Service, which removes the stored authorization and its associated Analytics and Search Console data. You may also revoke GlobeSign's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Limited Use disclosure. GlobeSign's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Service;
- To monitor connected websites and alert you to issues;
- To generate dashboards and reports;
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and email delivery), under confidentiality obligations and only as needed;
- Within your own organization, according to the access roles you configure;
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of GlobeSign, our users or the public;
- In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this policy.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Certain data (such as monitoring history and captured form submissions) is retained only for a rolling window and then automatically removed.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us at support@globesign.ca. You can also disconnect Google access and delete connected data at any time from within the Service.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International users
GlobeSign is operated from Canada. If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information may be processed in Canada and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
